Fall Pictures

Kate celebrated yet another birthday this fall.  I can't believe how quickly time moves these days.  Here is my attempt at her birthday cake.  These are cupcakes frosted as roses skewered into a flower pot to be her bouquet of roses.

It's a bird, no it's a plane, no, it's super Blake.  Grandma gave him this super hero cape quite a while ago, but he is now wearing it about everyday.  So naturally that is what he wanted to wear for Halloween this year.

Kate was a dancing princess girl.  She wanted to wear her costume from last years dance recital.  No complaints from me.  Another year where I didn't have to go buy costumes.  Yeah.  Here is Kate with our squash haul from the garden.  I can't remember the exact number but suffice it to say there is two more boxes in the storage room in the house not shown here. We have been eating at least 1 a week and we have hardly put a dent in it.

So, here is Kevin at his work costume contest, which they won.  He and his coworkers dressed as the Avengers.  Except for Raggedy Anne.   I am not sure why she is there.  Kevin is Captain America.

Here they are enjoying the new park near our house.

Here I am with my girls.

Cute little monkeys.

Daddy celebrated another birthday.

As did Blake.  He really loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates so he got a little pirate costume and Buckey.  This is one happy pirate.

A couple pictures from Grandmas at Thanksgiving.

 Oops, he crashed.

More Summer Pics

Kate played soccer again this year.  She had a great time playing with friends and making new ones.  While Kate's games were going on Blake would play at the playground next to the fields.  I asked him after a game if he'd had a good time playing.  He said yes of course.  So I asked what he was playing.  He said he was playing "Block the Way".  Apparently he was blocking the top of the slide so the other kids couldn't go down.  I tried to explain to him that this was not a good way to play, it wasn't nice and he was making the other kids sad.  He told me "they weren't sad, mom, they were mad!"

Here is Kenzie (above) and Bree (below) enjoying the game.

The girls are starting to roll around now making things a bit more interesting.  They can really get places when they want to.

During fall break this year we were able to go down to St. George with the Christensen family.  We rented a home, with a pool, and had so much fun.  The kids were in heaven.  Kevin and I had a pretty good time too!

Here are just some cute pictures of the twins we took recently.

Summer Catch Up

This was our first real outing with the twins.  We hiked up to Grotto Falls.  We all survived and had a good time.

Kate was a Jester in The Nutcracker for her dance recital.  Of course Blake had to get in on the action.  Kate is a very beautiful ballerina.

Kate also had a music recital and was able to play a short song on the keyboard.  She is learning so many things these days.

Here she is at Kindergarten graduation.

Here is Blake holding Bree and Kate holding Kenzie.  They are such good helpers (when they want to be).

Here the twins are about 2 months old.

We were able to do a few fun things this summer.  We spent a few days with Kevin's family up at Brighton.  The kids had a great time playing with cousins.  Here is Bree taking a nap.
Here is Blake with cousins playing on the ski lifts.
 And here is Kenzie snoozing.
 A little boy's paradise.
A very picturesque place.  It's too bad our camera is not very good.

The following week Kevin took Kate and Blake to Flaming Gorge with the Christensen family.  Here is Kate "cliff" jumping with her dad.

They were there for three days and this is how Blake spent his time.  They made him get in the boat once because everyone was going out to the cliffs and he was very upset he had to leave his truck.

We also made a trip up to Bear Lake with some of my family.  And again Blake drove his truck through the water with his cousin the whole time.  The water was very shallow for quite a way and they had a great time pushing the trucks through the water.

This picture is to show just how stubborn Blake can be.  Our neighborhood play group went to the Fire Station one day and for some reason Blake was not happy to be there.  So here is the group taking a picture with the truck and fireman Dave and Blake is pouting off to the side refusing to come stand in the picture.  He has been begging for months to go their but for some reason he would not cooperate.

This is how we spend a good portion of our days.  Trying to get babies to sleep.
