Dance Recital

Kate had her first dance recital the first of this month. She did a wonderful job!

The theme for the recital was Holidays. Each class danced to music for a specific
holiday of the year. Kate's age had Christmas obviously. She is a snowman and there
were also christmas trees and jewels in her class. (She definitely had the cutest costume.)
The recital wasn't perfect but I think she had a good time. We were all tired by
the end of the night.

Vacation!!!

Well, we survived our trip to southern California. We actually had a great time. Thank you Mike and Joann! I always thought my parents were crazy when we would come home from vacation and they would be so glad to be home. I would have much rather stayed at Disneyland then. But now I understand. It is good to be home! Here is some of our favorite pics.





I thought that our trip to Disneyland would be a whole lot of little kids rides and princesses. Kate did like to see the princesses, like the above picture. But she really loved the rides! The big ones! Her favorite was Splash Mountain. She can't stop talking about it and I think she went on it 5 times. She also went on Space Mountain 5 or 6 times. Thunder Mountain Railroad was a big hit too, she would just giggle the whole time. She also went on the Hollywood Tower of Terror a couple times. She definitely has a lot of Kevin in her.

And Kate of course loved all the dress up things she got. After opening her presents from Santa she was pretty excited and said that Santa really did know just what she wanted. I guess she wasn't so sure he would.



Kate has always loved to help me cook so we decided to get her own cook book and apron. Today for lunch she actually peeled all the carrots so I could chop them up. She does a really good job!



Here she is helping dad with his new ice cream maker whipping up some Orange Julius'.
